I’d describe interior design as “being in my blood”, so even as a child I was thinking about how to rearrange the rooms in my parents’ house. My mum put this talent to work in her shop and from the age of 13 I took over creating themed window dressings that drew the customers in. I haven’t really stopped designing since then.
I’ve been working in Andalucia since 2000. This Spanish region never ceases to enchant me with its stunning scenery that takes you from sand to snow and stretches from sea to mountains. It’s a landscape that provides the perfect backdrop for a wide range of colour palettes and design concepts, especially those that draw on African and Asian influences. But I never use those influences in their entirety; I simply use them as a starting point and then blend and mix in my own ideas until I’ve achieved an individual look. You could say that I “Jontify” the classic and ethnic elements of interior design.
